Requirements Pre-entry
preferred for all rides with a $20.00 non-refundable
deposit. Pre-entry REQUIRED on the FEI rides -
see FEI entry form. $10.00 late fee per horse will
be charge if not pre-registered - post marked by June
20, 2008 for open rides.
Rules:
All
AERC and SERA rules apply, and additional AHA rules
apply to those who enter the AHA events. Decisions of
the vets are final. In order to receive credit for
completing the ride, horses must be “fit to continue”,
as determined by the veterinarians. The winner of the
25-mile ride will be the first horse whose pulse
recovers to 60 bpm. At registration, you must present
ALL appropriate membership and registration papers. JUNIORS:
must be at least 8 years old, wear an approved helmet,
and be accompanied by an adult sponsor. Everyone must
show a current AERC card or pay the $15 non-member fee.
**The $15.00 non-member fee applies to junior riders
also.
25 mile
horses must be 48 months old 50 and 100
mile horses must be 60 months old NEGATIVE
COGGINS MUST BE SHOWN AT CHECK IN/ARRIVAL
ALL RIDERS (NOT

All FEI
horses must be presented for a veterinary inspection on
Friday afternoon. Open horses may vet in either late
Friday afternoon or Saturday.

AERC 100 mile $150/early
$140; Juniors AERC 100 mile $80
Stalls $20.00 per night (names will be on stalls, so if
you have a friend, say so at LEAST ten days in advance.
Stalls are required for
FEI horses for Saturday night and optional for other
nights. You may wish to have a stall as well as
portable pen.
Electric $20.00 per night
(LIMITED SPOTS).
Extra nights primitive camping $5.00 per night
Refunds—Full if written notification received 21 days
before ride. Less $15.00 if written notification
received 14 days before ride. Less $25.00 7 days before
ride and no notice, no refund.

Facilities: No camping
before Thursday, July 3 after 10:00 a.m. unless you make
advance arrangements for the 100 milers. All others may
arrive on Friday, July 4 after 10:00 am.
Primitive
camping, limited electricity, portable stalls available
for rent at $20 per night;
You may wish to
consider a stall and a portable pen as there is not much
shade where the portable pens can be put up in the open
fields.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times!!! NO EXCEPTIONS –
FACILITY HAS A $50 FINE FOR UNLEASHED DOGS! PLEASE
comply as we can’t waive this fine!
All garbage must be taken to a collection area
(dumpsters or trailer) with manure and hay spread before
you leave portable pens. Stalls
are to be stripped of ALL bedding, manure and hay before
you leave. Cigarette butts must be put in the
garbage as our fire threat in FL is very high.Heads up please! Generators will
be running SATURDAY night during the 50 and 100 mile
rides. On Friday, and any
other night, we will ask that generators be OFF by 10:00
pm. Ride management reserves the right to CUT-OFF your
generator if you are not there to cut it off by the
curfew!
Awards: Awards
ceremony for the 25 mile riders will be done at 1:00 pm
Saturday. Best condition, top ten, and first Junior.
Everyone who gets a successful completion on the ride
receives a completion T-Shirt. Awards for the 50 milers
will be Sunday morning and the awards for the 100 milers
will be Sunday afternoon! Times, TBA. We

There is a food vendor on site and Sonny’s BBQ and
Zaxbys are nearby.Trails: All
trails loop back to camp with no away vet checks.
We will have a crewing area at one point on the first 20
mile loop on the 50 and 100 mile rides. We will
have lots of glow sticks for riders in 50 and 100 mile
rides. Sandy trails, predominantly two-track with
some single track through the woods with several road
crossings. For Florida sand, it’s not terrible
although some sandy loops need caution rather than
speed. Shoes are optional for the LD, your choice at
higher mileage. Meals: The
primary meal is Friday evening which is included in your
ride entry. Anyone desiring an extra meal ticket can
purchase extras for $8.00. No meals are planned on
Saturday before the rides. There will be a food
vendor on site and fast food is located about three
miles away.

Competitor Entrance/Florida Horse Park Office on 475:
Directions from I-75:
Take exit 341 head east on CR 484. Continue on 484 for
about 2 miles. Take a left onto S Hwy 475. Continue on
475 for 3.2 miles. The Florida Horse Park is on the left
hand side.
Spectator Entrance on 475A: Directions from I-75 :
Take Exit 341 and head east on CR 484. Continue on 484
about .5 miles. At the light directly after Dunkin
Donuts, take a left onto CR 475A. Continue north on 475A
about 2.5 miles. The entrance to the Park is on your
right.
Volunteers:
Help is needed to work the vet checks, pull ribbons,
deliver water, etc. If you or someone you know would
like to help, please call or enclose a note with the
entry form. Indicate what days and jobs you are
available for. We will be most grateful and will plan to
provide you a meal.
Massage: We are trying to arrange for a
horse and/or human massage therapist to be available.
